demi's blog!

there are no forever projects

Society has conditioned us to find one thing we can do consistently until the day we die. We are constantly pushed to find that one thing that we are good at, and stick to it.

In reality, our passions and desires change over time. Things that we enjoyed as kids may not be huge passions as adults. I loved creating music a lot more when I was younger than I do now, but that doesn't take away from it.

Humans evolve. If we don't give ourselves room to evolve in our projects, we will continue to diminish them into repeated tasks, instead of realising that these tasks will change overtime.

Perhaps we need to stop glorifying the continuation or repetition of an action, and rather focus on finding something that brings us closer to the world we want to live in.
