the secret to self confidence
Sometimes we think we have to force ourselves into being self confident. But actually, it's a matter of making minor adjustments on how you present yourself.
One way I do this is by questioning whether my actions reflect that of a self confident person, or if they indicate otherwise.
- Would a self confident person be affected if their confidence triggers other people?
- Would a self confident person try to play small to make others feel comfortable?
- Would a self confident person know and trust their own capabilities to show up in the best way they can?
We often try to assign the title of a trait without attributing the right behaviours to it. Once we start embodying the behaviours of someone who's self confident, we will feel more confident with identifying with that title. The behaviours come first.
You can change your inner dialogue to greatly benefit the trajectory of your life, but you have to make sure you do the work to reflect those behaviours. It's not the title of being self-confident that feels good, but the behaviours of that title, cause that's what opens doors.
